After the recent statement from the OFMDFM regarding Patricia McBrides' brother, we as victims feel the need to set the record straight on this issue. To say that her brother was a volunteer killed in active service could not be more insultive to a community who supported law and order. One needs to take a look at this mans' history. He was an active serving member of the Irish army when he was arrested. This is ironic, given that it is Republicans who often take the moral high ground on collusion. This highlights the extent of collusion between the Irish government and the IRA. On further examination, one will also realise that this individuals fellow criminals were no other than Mad Dog McGlinchey and Francis Hughes from Tyrone - two of the worst killers during the troubles. McGlinchey was involved in the Darkley atrocity, where the IRA entered a gospel hall and murdered and injured indiscriminately whilst they were worshipping God. If we accept this OFMDFM terminology, then by their definition, McGlinchey was on active service whilst carrying out the Darkley massacre. We urge the DUP to distance themselves from this horrendous statement and all the redefinition implications associated with it. We also demand that Patrica McBride resigns immediately from her new post. We have been contacted not only by other victims groups, but also individuals who would rather not reap the benefits of dealing with the newly elected Victims Commissioner Office and instead take a principled stand against an attempt to redefine the IRAs actions to legitimise their terror campaign. We too have taken the same view and we will take a principled stand on this. We will not have any dealings with this Victims Commissioners Office, based on the reasons above. FAIR intend to expose the truth about the fraud of a particular South Armagh republican who claims he is innocent. It would appear that not only was this person involved in republican activity, but was also carrying out fraud. He had to move over the border after serving 6 months in prison and having all his vehicles confiscated (including his own car), but no sooner was he there than the IRA chased him back over the border again into Northern Ireland. The IRA obviously didn't like his activity there either. The claims that this person received were unbelievable. In one of the more laughable claims, this person claimed that 30,000 chickens died of heart failure due to heklicopter activity in South Armagh. Quite an unprecedented accusation and claim! The fraud carried out by Republicans like this will be exposed in time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Victims to take court action unless victims commissioner is appointed by end of month. Victims have looked on in dismay at the saga surrounding the selection of the new victims commissioner. It is beyond belief that this selection process has been put off for so long. Recently we have seen the NI budget unfolded and we noticed that Art received in and around the same sort of levels of funding as the victims. It is not the case that we are against art, but things have to be put into perspective. Everyone wants to move on, but the legacy of the past is a very real problem and has to be dealt with. Dealing with the past is part of our future. It seems that victims are sidelined at every opportunity and the delay in appointing a new victims commissioner is typical of how victims are being treated. It is on that basis that we intend to take court action, if the new victims commissioner is not appointed by the end of the month. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Was this sectarian terrorist ethnic cleansing....Or a legitimate and justified war? It seems that men and women of Ulster are being told that the IRA terrorist campaign in Ulster was now a war. This is the ultimate insult to victims who were butchered, tortured and maimed by IRA terrorists. This is a blatent attempt to re-write history - a history in which Republicans aim to have themselves viewed as freedom fighters fighting a legitimate war against an opposing army. This presents bloodthirsty IRA killers with justification for their criminal actions. Everyone knows that the hands of our security forces were tied so that they could not deal with the IRA like the terrorists that they are. Perhaps if it had been called a war at the time, it might have been better, as we could have dealt with the IRA appropriately by legitimately killing IRA men. To call it terrorism at the time, so that we were unable to do this and then calling it a war afterwards, therfore legitimising these acts of terrorism is the ultimate insult. If one allows themselves to consider the implications of the past, one would quickly start to realise that most of the acts committed by the IRA were a contravention of the Geneva Convention, which details rules of engagement and war. Civilians were actively targeted and killed for being nothing more than Protestants. Indeed it was Sean O'Callaghan who claimed that there was an ongoing campaign of ethnic cleansing in South Armagh. Of course this whole idea is being floated by the British government. Through all recent political developments, we have never seen Ulster people so enraged with this suggestion that the IRA campaign was a war. Maybe this is just the wake up call that Ulster people need. We will fight this proposal every inch of the way. (Click on the above picture for more details) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CONTINUING REPUBLICAN CRIMINALITY AT THE DOORS OF STORMONT Gerry Adams' driver and nephew has been arrested and questioned for attempted murder. He is not the only one connected to Sinn Fein MLAs to be arrested and questioned relating to serious terrorist offences. Other MLAs drivers are under suspicion for murder and arrests are expected shortly. Click on this picture for more detail. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bring Paul Quinn's Murderers to Justice Now we have entered 2008, it would appear that everyone still wants to forget the murder of Paul Quinn. The animals who carried out this cowardly act are still at large. It is not co-incidental that these same murderers still have not been brought to justice for multiple other murders in South Armagh over the last 35 years. There seems to be a concerted effort on the part of the government and even our Unionist politicians to sweep this embarassing story under the carpet. 100s of murders and 1000s of injuries were inflicted on South Armagh and 99% of those cases have never been solved. There have been virtually no charges and few arrests. Therefore it is not surprising that Paul Quinns murderers have not been caught. Until law and order is restored and upheld in South Armagh, these acts of gross contempt for life and the law will continue to be carried out. Ironically it is the same murderers who have wreaked havoc on South Armagh, that are calling for investigations into RUC and UDR men. They have the ardacity to condemn local men who served in these forces in an attempt to uphold law and order. It is Republicans like these ones that define the word 'hypocritical'. We call once again for the murderers of Paul Quinn to be brought to justice, in order to reassure citizens of South Armagh that this small part of Ulster has law and order to some degree. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Victims Commissioner To Be Announced Soon The decision on who will be the new Victims Commissioner is to be announced in the next fortnight. Hopefully the new selection will be someone who has knowledge of the victims and someone who understands the word 'justice'. Please click on this for further information regarding the announcement. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An Extract From Our Book on The Hunger Strikers FOREWORD As victims survey the last thirty years of Republican terrorism, we never fail to be amazed at the futility of their actions. The fact that Republicans murdered many more Roman Catholics than the security forces combined not only explodes the myth that they were defending their community but also raises serious questions around collusion. The evil of Republican violence knew no bounds. They were no respecter of persons, killing children and the elderly with equal abandon. However, perhaps because we became immune to death or were so traumatised by the troubles, it took the Hunger Strikes to really drive home the point of how little value Republicans placed on life, even their own, and just how depraved they are. My community have many questions of such fundamental importance that without satisfactory answers, community relations will never be repaired. While we as a group aimed to answer these questions, it soon became clear that we did not hold all the answers. The Roman Catholic Community, the Republican movement and perhaps even those in the British government who were pulling their strings hold the real answers. Questions such as what movement would willingly sacrifice its own men in order to win a seat in a Parliament they do not even recognise? What Christian church would be prepared to twist its own doctrine to lend support to a terrorist group? What constitutional political party would stand aside to let a convicted terrorist win an election? What kind of a mother or family would watch and refuse to save their son as he died? What cause would ask this of a mother and how blinded would she been to allow it? The answers to these questions are as shocking as the events they refer to. However, the horrific and manipulative truth has been clouded by years of romanticism and revisionism by Republicans. The recent stage-managed celebrations of such evil have further divided our country and added insult to the injury of victims. This book aims to give victims a voice and a right of reply to the lies and myths that have been peddled by Republicanism. The truth is that these men were not heroes. Many were non-entities and clearly of so little value to their own movement that they were expendable. Many would echo my words when I say “Good Riddance” and it’s a pity a lot more did not follow them. Our research has shown that they were criminals, who in many cases surrendered themselves, implicated themselves and others during questioning and were subsequently convicted of terrorist offences. Those like Hughes were serial killers who murdered children and the elderly, while others though not as infamous, were equally dangerous. In each case crimes were prevented and lives saved by their imprisonment and death. In short we hope that the truth will give comfort to the victims and will break the cycle of violence that today sees young men drawn into terrorism because of the mythology of the former hunger strikers. Information has already been passed to Gardai and PSNI and further information will follow. There is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that this murder was sanctioned from the LEADERSHIP OF THE IRA IN SOUTH ARMAGH. The government and police seem to be the only ones stating that this is not the case.....do they think we are stupid or something. As can be seen in the above picture, we saw how the IRA operated at its worst in South Armagh and we know who runs South Armagh. The person on the top of this picture was murdered by some of the same people who killed Quinn. This was an IRA job and placing the blame on others is a downright lie on the part of the government. Do not take us for fools. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FAIR would like to highlight the smuggling issue in South Armagh once again. None of the IRA men involved have been touched, with the exception of the showcase of Slab Murphy. We intend to go after them and highlight just what is going on and who is laundering their money for them etc. The government seem to be taking the softly softly approach and are now prepared to sit with these men in government. Therefore it would seem likely that to intervene in the South Armagh smuggling issue, would be to rock the boat... a boat which they would rather leave in peace. However we would like to reiterate just how important it is that this activity be stopped. If it is not stopped, then murders like that of Paul Quinn will remain a very real possibility in the future. These men are criminals and will always have to look after their empires, so not taking action against them is to give them a free hand to murder again. We will not be side-stepping or hedging around from naming who is really involved in this criminality. It is the IRA! It is not dissidents or discontent Republicans! It IS the IRA. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LETTER REQUEST FROM VICTIMS TO H.E.T. Innocent from South Armagh have asked the HET for a letter similar to that which the Reaveys received recently. In this letter, the HET ststed that the Reaveys were totally innocent. Victims from the security forces never received letters anything like this from HET and victims have challenged HET to act fairly with innocent victims, like the security forces etc. (Click on this text for further information) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REPUBLICANS DISTORT E.U. RULING ONCE AGAIN TO HIGHLIGHT SUPPOSED COLLUSION Once again we have seen a ruling by the E.U. courts twisted and distorted beyond recognition, in an attempt by Republicans to highlight supposed injustice against them in the past, whilst simultaneously undermining the reputation of the men and women who served in the security forces in Northern Ireland. OR UNSTABLE FANTASIST? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Victims Lay Poppy Crosses at Stormont in Memory of Fallen RUC Officers The photograph below was taken at Stormont and the event was to represent the number of RUC officers killed in Northern Ireland as the result of terrorism. It was inncoent victims from FAIR and other groups who went up and laid the poppy crosses. From that day to this, no politicians has made any reference to the act of remembrance. No gesture towards innocent victims has been made! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Quinns and Mr Paisley - The Truth of Dr Paisley's Role in South Armagh Its with amazement that we hear that Dr Paisley is going to meet with the Quinn family - not that they aren't entitled to meet him; but let's recall a few facts: A UDR man that was killed 1/2 mile away from Cullyhanna, the IRA had been trying to catch him for a number of months and he knew he was going to be killed as a lot of his colleagues had already been murdered. The only thing he asked of Dr Paisley was that he say a prayer at his funeral. In the homes of his colleagues, Dr Paisley had told all the families to stand firm and that he would leave no stone un-turned until the killers of their loved ones were brought to Justice. Now lets look at what he did actually do: After a continuing campaign of genocide in South Armagh, these terrorists with the help and only with the help of Dr Paisley are now sitting in our government. So we would give a word of caution to the Quinn family, be careful what you ask for. Seeking help from Dr Paisley, for you, could end up in the awful situation of having the killers of your son as your local representative in charge of your son's murder investigation. What happened in South Armagh has been going on for 30 years. I really do feel sorry for the Quinn family, but unlike now I did not hear any words coming from that area condemning the IRA for the evil act's that they carried out against the Protestant community. Perhaps if we had, the IRA could not have carried out the Campaign they did. Now is the time for the Roman Catholic community in that area to put that right by telling what they know. The Quinn family deserve justice but so do the hundreds of innocent victims in South Armagh, who were murdered by the same people from the same community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BP Refuse To Tackle Libya Over Helping IRA Victims have contacted BP oil to ask them to apply pressure on Libya over helping to fund and supply weaponry to the IRA. BP firstly refused to accept a letter stating the victim's case, but after the intervention of Lord Laird, they accepted the letter. Since this submission we have received a reply from Peter Mather, BP, Head of Country, UK. In the letter he states that "At BP we never have, nor ever will condone acts of terrorism, wherever they might be carried out in the world." He goes on to state that "We also believe strongly in the role of business to forge links and across divides. A common business agenda is often the best contribution to bringing previously-excluded nations back into the international community. Both Libya and Northern Ireland are in the process of moving on, and we welcome the progress made in both countries." This letter was written to the victims from BP p.l.c., 1 St James Square, London, SW1Y 4PD. It is extremely unfortunate that BP has opted to opt-out on the issue of helping the victims and we believe that their outlook on business "being the best contribution" is an outlook that is very sad indeed. This implies that oil is much more valued than blood being spilt. We as victims cannot as BP put it "move on" until the truth is told about what has taken place during 35 years of terrorism. We have a right to know the truth and perpetrators of terrorism and their accomplices should be held accountable. Otherwise what is to stop them doing the same again? We would ask BP to reconsider their position on this matter as a matter of urgency. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If Britain's Enemy, You Can Be Bought... If Britain's Friend, You WILL Be Sold! A meeting has taken place with British government representatives regarding the ongoing Libyan legal case. Firstly the meeting should have been with the Secretary of State, but he did not think we were worthy of his time. Secondly, he tried to cancel the meeting completely. Finally the meeting did take place between Paul Goggins, representatives of FAIR, other victims involved in the Libyan case, legal representatives and Geoffrey Donaldson, MP. When we explained our case and why we were suing Libya, it was clear he had already been briefed about the case. Even after listening to the entire case and the stories of some of the victims, he informed us that Libya was now their friend and was helping in the fight against terrorism! The victims asked Mr Goggins, "what about our loved ones who were British citizens and only for Libyas' actions with the IRA, would probably still be alive today?" One victim explained of her mother and father being killed by Semtex provided by Libya and another man who had been seriously effected by a similar bomb and was taking 27 tablets per day to retain any sort of lifestyle at all. The answers that came back to these statements and questions, were repeated time and time again. The answer was that Libya was now their friend and it would look bad for them to get involved in a legal case against them. William Frazer then pointed out that 35 years of terrorism in the UK could not have took place against the British people, without the help of Libya. Thousands were killed and maimed, not only in Northern Ireland, but also on the mainland. They still have an obligation to support what is best for a people who have paid so dearly just to be called British. It is obvious that no matter how much sacrifice the Ulsterman or even the British soldier makes, we are expendible. Britain will look after their own finacial interests before they will look after her people. Shame on them and we intend to tell the world of this disgraceful decision! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We have stated from the beginning of this farce that is called 'peace', that under the current system we cannot have peace. Continually we as victims have been ignored, even though it is plain to see that Republicans are still so active in recruiting, training, funding and even terrorist acts. Ongoing attacks on Protestant homes, intimidation and death threats are still all part of life in South Armagh. A victims campaigner is also receiving death threats on a daily basis. Orange halls are also being asttacked regularly to undermine our culture. As we have stated in recent times and also throughout 35 years of terrorism, all we want is for these Republican gangsters to be brought to justice. When so much is being done to move victims towards reconciliation, it is so difficult given that the same terrorists who damaged our society so greatly are still at large. Worse still, their current terrorist and criminal actions are ignored. It would seem to us that these men are above the law. We demand that their terrorist and criminal activity be stopped immediately. Otherwise how can we ever have true peace! Remember that these are the people that we as victims are being pressurised by the government to sit with. How can we sit with them, when violence and terrorism is still at the heart of their mindset. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blind Eye Turned To South Armagh Republican Activity! In the last number of days we have seen much activity by Republicans. The names of those involved in the Quinn killing have been revealed under parliamentary privelege and the presence of senior IRA mens' names on the list certainly comes as no shock whatsoever! The only question is why has the government sheltered and protected these Republican criminals for so long? Their business is well known to the authorities and even the dogs on the street in South Armagh, but whilst we see the A.R.A. moving on small-time South Armagh criminals, we do not see the big chiefs being touched at all. The only exception to the case was Slab Murphys' case, but the government and A.R.A. was forced to act on Slab. We re-ask the question to make ourselves plain, why do the government fail to do anything to stop the actions of these senior Republican criminals? We believe the reason is that the government does nothing is because they believe peace comes at a price and turning a blind eye is for the best! If the government continues to ignore these top Republican criminals, then we will start naming and shaming these criminals. We will state their names and what criminal activity they are involved in, along with details of assets. This will include family members of some of these Republican criminals, who have been laundering money. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MARTIN MEEHAN DIES! Martin Meehan, the mass murderer has died in the last few days. After years of killing and torture against innocent victims, Meehan now has died himself. Death comes to everyone! For Meehan though, his death marks the end a murderous life, in which he captured and tortured soldiers, lured young soldiers to their deaths and murdered innocent women and children. The law of the land did not catch up with Martin, but ultimately he is now being judged for what he has done during his life. Judgement comes to everyone! During his life he was the organiser of the IRA cell that set up a honey-trap ambush for three young Scottish soldiers in Belfast. These young soldiers were as young as 18 years of age. He was also responsible for the kidnapping and subsequent torture of at least one UDR man. The brutality of this torture outlines just what type of man Meehan was. He also boasted of what things he had done in the name of Republicanism in Castleblaney one evening and even showed the gun he had stolen from the UDR man! Thankfully Meehans' reign of terror has ended as will the reign of other murdering IRA men. We as victims only wish that he had received punishment for his crimes on this side of eternity, but that unfortunately was not to be the case. However we are very sure that he is receiving his punishment now for what he has done. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IRA TERRORISTS STILL ACTIVE IN SOUTH ARMAGH! The people who butchered Paul Quinn have committed murder before in South Armagh. These animals have repeatedly demonstrated a lust for blood that knows no boundaries. The Godfathers involved this time sent their sons to commit a vile murder reminiscent of those they committed on the Protestant community over 35 years. This time the Republicans murdered a young Nationalist with whom they were acquainted. The Republican Godfathers that sanctioned the brutal murder of Paul Quinn must be held to account for this deed. If nothing is done William Frazer has pledged to publicly reveal the names of the Godfathers who sanctioned the murder and indeed the names of their sons who were directly involved. (CLICK ON PICTURE BELOW FOR FULL STATEMENT ON QUINN MURDER) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PERSISTENCE PAYS Last year FAIR organised a parade in Dublin to highlight collusion between the Irish government and the Garda. The parade was composed of victims and was to be a peaceful demonstration. Unfortunately that parade was not completed because Republican elements conspired and reaped destruction upon the city. As the Garda were physically attacked they could not guarantee the safety of the innocent victims who wished to parade. FAIR stated that they would return to Dublin this year in the anticipation of completing the parade as the issues surrounding collision remained outstanding. However last week the Irish Republic government agreed to meet with FAIR to discuss the relevant issues. Following a full discussion the Irish Republic government have agreed to appoint an investigator to undertake an investigation to collision and the lack of security provided to people living in the boarder area. In the light of the Irish Republic government's agreement to investigate victims concerns FAIR has suspended the planned parade pending a successful outcome. William Frazer who lead the FAIR delegation to the meeting stated, "It is unfortunate that this process has taken so long. We welcome the Irish Republic government's new found willingness to answer the questions of innocent victims."             ____________________________________________________________ WHO SAYS BEING A KILLER DOES NOT PAY! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For anyone who believes the myth that the Maze will not be a shrine, victims would like to point out that this is a lie. In a recent visit by victims to the Maze, we discovered Rosary beads, mass cards, crucifixes and candles all in the H-Block hospital in question. It has got to the stage that people take Republican promises at face value, but we can reveal that their long history of lying is still a reality today. The Maze has ALREADY become a shrine to Republican murderers! We as victims of these terrorists want to know where our politicians stand on this issue and we seek their intervention to stop this disgrace. If the history of these ten killers is so important to the history of Ulster, we ask what about the history of the ten men massacred beside a mini bus in South Armagh by cohorts of these ten Republican murderers? Once again, the concessions only seem to flow one way in Ulster today and these concessions are all to appease Republicans. We advise anyone who is uncertain of the REAL and bloody history of these ten Republican hunger strikers to read our booklet that explains what type of men they were. Victims attempted to march and make their feelings known in 2006, but Republicans rioted and plans for the proceedings of that day had to be changed. The extent of the violence that was demonstrated that day by Republicans was shocking to say the least. Random cars were burned, shops looted and attacks made on the media and Gardai. We are sure that the Gardai will have better intelligence reports this time round, so that a peaceful parade can proceed, without disturbance. The parade will take place in September 2007. When awkward questions are asked to Martin, it is Francie Molloy who takes it upon himslef to return the answer. This is nothing more than the voice of the IRA. It would be nice to hear Martin answer some of these difficult questions. However we beg to differ! We have 2500+ signed forms from victims who state their objection to powersharing with terrorists in government. There are also 8 victims groups to date that have been in communication with us, expressing major concern over our political situation and voicing support for our stand against terrorists in government. Therefore for Mr Paisley to state that he has the support of victims is a myth... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- William Frazer (Director of FAIR) responds to calls for HET to be abolished. Again the Secretary of State is trying to move the goal posts. Fair has supplied well resourced and researched dossier in relation to victims needs and how to move forward. No matter how they try to twist this nothing else will do. This marked the acceptance of Sinn Fein/IRA killers into government. A few victims decided to go down and express their disgust at having men with blood on their hands in our government. The law-abiding community of South Armagh will be at the mercy of Republicans when security withdrawal is complete. We re-ask the question, as to how it is deemed possible to withdraw security given the ongoing Republican activity in smuggling, criminality, laundering of terrorist money, rioting and gun attacks. People in this area cannot understand why our politicians are not highlighting what is happening here. On the night after the crash, security forces were also attacked with petrol bombs. We would love to hear Murphy's description of a petrol bomb! When one considers that the army are to be removed from South Armagh by the end of this month, one must question why, given the violence and criminality still in evidence. One must also question why police must be flown into Crossmaglen barracks in the first place. It is obvious that there is too much risk to life for police to use traditional transport methods to go into Crossmaglen barracks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We always knew that any road to Dublin was bad, but the new carriageway currently under construction takes the biscuit. Republicans have been dumping hundreds of tonnes of toxic waste in the earthworks around this construction project. The door pictured is sealed using a brush, bags of nitrate are left lying around, the perimeter fence is completely useless and in the background of the bottom centre picture; boxes of explosives are just left unlocked, just yards from the fence. Explosives of this type were stolen on a number of occasions in the ROI and co-incidently the same explosive type was used to carry out bombings in Northern Ireland by the IRA. At least 3.5 tonnes of explosive was stolen and 2000+ detonators. These thefts went on for a minimum of 5 years and the Irish government was told about the situation, but chose to do nothing.
